In coordination with the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR), in May through June 2018, DTM in Afghanistan piloted a Community-Based Needs Assessment (CBNA). This survey was conducted to provide IOM and its partners with an understanding of current needs in settlements hosting IDPs and returnees in seven provinces of high return, prioritizing settlements hosting the largest numbers of returnees and IDPs. In total, 8,243 interviews were conducted in 83 districts of seven provinces of Afghanistan (Baghlan, Kabul, Kunar, Kunduz, Laghman, Nangarhar, Takhar).
