Salim Khan is a poor farmer in Bamyan. Because of extended conflict in his village in Daikundi, Salim Khan fled to Bamyan three years ago. According to IOM’s DTM June 2020 Baseline Mobility Assessment, Salim Khan is one of 52,140 IDPs currently living in displacement in Bamyan.
He now works as a laborer in the agriculture sector. He works very hard and is known as “Uncle Farmer” in his community. Salim Khan says that his primary concern is that he cannot afford to send his eight children to school.
